Elaine Megahey
Elaine Megahey first became a member of Belfast Print Workshop in 1999, working across a range of disciplines within her practice.
Megahey produces both two and three dimensional work incorporating drawing, print, mixed-media and textile processes.
Ongoing interests refer to ideas about time, memory of place and the interconnectedness of the natural world and its impact on our inner world. Megahey’s recent work focuses on observing, documenting and collecting within familiar coastal landscapes and aims to convey the visceral, tactile experience felt both physically and emotionally when immersed in the elements within this environment.
Lisa’s primary interest is working with photographic still life images that she composes to represent psychological spaces.
Her work focuses on bringing about a quiet sense of order and clarity as a response to exploring the uneasy feelings that cause us to question ourselves. Uncertainty, ambiguity and tension are all themes that inform her inspiration.
