Matthew Edward Short
Matthew Short is a Visual artist based in Belfast, and recent Fine Art graduate of the Ulster University. He works primarily within drawing, painting, photography, printmaking and installation to visualise his ideas.
Short’s work concerns itself with how the viewer perceives and experiences objects in space. He has used light, colour and transparency as material; along with found objects and industrially-accessible materials. Short has investigated this within site-specific installations, containing ‘non-specific’ objects in which the viewer, the subject, perceives within space. The viewer animates the work and gives it meaning through their perceptual experience of objects in space and time.

Lisa’s primary interest is working with photographic still life images that she composes to represent psychological spaces.
Her work focuses on bringing about a quiet sense of order and clarity as a response to exploring the uneasy feelings that cause us to question ourselves. Uncertainty, ambiguity and tension are all themes that inform her inspiration.
