Cyanotype Workshop: Celebrating the Summer Solstice In collaboration with BRINK!
Join us for a creative, nature-inspired cyanotype printing workshop to mark the Summer Solstice! This special session combines outdoor exploration with hands-on making, using one of the oldest photographic techniques to capture the beauty of the season.
What to Expect:
We’ll begin the day by meeting at The Brink! site at 65 Union Street, BT1 2JG, where we’ll collect natural materials from the garden — leaves, flowers, and found textures that reflect the vibrant energy of summer.
Then we’ll head to Belfast Print Workshop, where you’ll learn how to create striking cyanotype prints (sun prints) using light-sensitive chemicals and UV exposure. You’ll arrange your collected items to produce bold, botanical-inspired blue-and-white images — perfect as art prints, cards, or keepsakes.
