This hands-on workshop offers a creative introduction to the spontaneous world of mono-screenprinting, perfect for anyone looking to explore a unique, expressive printmaking technique. Participants will work directly on the screen, using paint and squeegees to create one-of-a-kind prints. The mono print process eliminates the need for stencils or exposure units, making it ideal for those who want to experiment with direct, free-flowing mark-making. The beauty of mono printing lies in its unrepeatable nature—each print captures the texture of your brushstrokes and artistic expression, while translating them into smooth, flat prints that you couldn't achieve by painting directly onto paper. You'll have the option to explore layering and blocking out parts of the screen for added complexity, should you wish. By the end of the evening, you'll leave with a collection of unique prints, created at your own pace.
