Participants will create a 2–3 layer screenprint by combining hand-drawn elements with hand-cut stencil shapes, using a photograph of a pet (or any favourite animal) as inspiration. You'll learn a simple process for translating a photograph into bold graphic forms, preparing artwork in separate layers, and exposing your own screens.
The workshop also introduces setting up and using the screenprinting press, along with basic registration techniques for producing vibrant multi-layer prints. By the end of the day, you'll have produced a small edition of beautifully hand-printed animal-themed prints—perfect for framing, gifting, or adding a personal touch to your Christmas décor.
All materials are provided, and no previous screenprinting experience is required.
