VALESKA ZABEL

Valeska Zabel was born in Offenbach in Germany in 1951. She studied at the University of Art and Design in Kassel, and afterwards ran a print workshop in Berlin. During visits to London in 1987/88 she made her first monotypes at the Allan Cox Print Workshop. Since then she has worked at the Tabor Presse, a masterprinter workshop for lithography in Berlin, and was printmaker-in-residence at BPW in 1994/95. While she has since discovered watercolours and oil painting, her fascination with printmaking still remains.
